  1. Hi Kirsten,
Bakers shared with me your blog. Love it! Will definitely be following. I tried a little blogging while I was on sabbatical in August and September but haven’t done anything since I got back to the church. Great outlet and wonderful way to share. Thanks for doing this for all of us back in Iowa that want to keep track of you.

So excited to hear from you!!! I am loving the blog outlet too. It gets me to focus on interesting aspects of the trip and encapsulate stories and thoughts that I might forget to tell. Hope you had a refreshing sabbatical! Enjoy the autumn sky!

  2. Kirsten, I have been reading about your travels and am so glad for the blessings you are receiving and the blessing you have been to those around you. God go with you and remember Jeremiah 31;3-4 “…I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with lovingkindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel again you will take up your tamborines and go out to dance with the joyful.”

    • Cheryl – Thanks for the prayer! God not only goes with us but goes before us, making a way. I am experiencing the full range of emotions about the way God has made for me. Many Blessings!

  3. Kirsten, I have enjoyed following your travels, but even more your insights. I can’t even begin to imagine what a year like this will do to shape who you are as a person and pastor in the future. Amazing! I pray there is healing and rest in your soul as well as adventure and excitement. Blessings to you as you make the transition to South Africa,
    Kathy

  4. Kirsten, I have been thinking of you and pray you will encouraged and an encouragement to all you meet in South Africa. I was looking at the Cattle Creek float pictures and wanted to let you know that you are and have been an inspiration to me and many in North Iowa. May the God who saved us all be reflected in your countenance.
